ALEO POWER
Solution · Remote Communities

Reliable power, whatever the grid forgot.

Off-grid and weak-grid microgrids for villages, islands, clinics and remote settlements — PV + BESS + diesel engineered as one plant, monitored 24/7 from the AMS cloud, and modular so the system grows with the community.

The Problem We Solve

Why Community Power Projects Struggle

Remote electrification fails on fuel logistics, maintenance access and unmonitored equipment — three problems a hybrid microgrid is built to remove:

Diesel arrives late and over budget.

Fuel for remote settlements costs 2–4× pump price once trucking, ferries or air freight are counted. Solar plus storage displaces 50–80% of it — reference sites run diesel as backup only.

Weak grids drop clinics and schools.

A weak or intermittent grid is often worse than none. The microgrid forms a stable local grid of its own, with the utility or genset as a supporting source — not the other way around.

Nobody is there when things fail.

Community projects fail on silent faults, not hardware. AMS watches every site 24/7 with >150 diagnosed fault items, alerting operators before service degrades.

Maintenance skills are scarce locally.

Liquid-cooled LFP with ≥ 8,000 cycles removes routine battery care from the equation, and most faults resolve remotely — quarterly preventive visits instead of permanent on-site crews.

Demand grows faster than the plan.

Cold storage, welding shops and phone-charging kiosks appear within months of electrification. The microgrid is modular — add PV blocks and BESS containers to the same AMS bus as demand grows.

Funders need proof, not promises.

IPP, donor and community-trust finance needs bankable operating data. AMS production logs give every stakeholder metered proof of uptime, energy delivered and diesel displaced.

1 MW / 1.29 MWh second deployment
Zimbabwe · Rural Community

1 MW / 1.29 MWh second deployment

A second rural microgrid proving the platform is repeatable — same control core, same remote monitoring, same diesel-backup dispatch.

Thailand · Weak-Grid Village

250 kW / 522 kWh, dual-mode operation

Two 125 kW / 261 kWh systems AC-coupled with village PV — seamless switching between grid-connected and off-grid operation.
Industry-wide community-microgrid ROI pattern.

Reference-site patterns show hybrid microgrids displacing 50–80% of diesel consumption versus genset-only baselines, with payback commonly inside 3–6 years at remote fuel logistics prices — before counting outage, health and cold-chain benefits. These are industry-wide patterns, not ALEO POWER guarantees — every quotation includes a sized ROI worksheet built from the community load forecast, fuel invoices and solar resource.

FAQ

Community Microgrid Questions

How is a community microgrid sized?
From a socio-economic load forecast: households, clinic, school, streetlighting and the small businesses that appear after electrification. We size PV and storage for the day-one load with modular headroom, so growth means adding blocks — not rebuilding the plant.
Can we start with diesel and add solar later?
Yes — that's the most common path. The storage system AC-couples to existing gensets immediately, cutting fuel from month one; PV blocks bolt onto the same AMS-controlled bus later without redesign.
Who maintains the system after commissioning?
AMS monitors 24/7 and resolves most faults remotely. Liquid-cooled LFP needs no routine battery care; local staff handle visual inspections, while quarterly preventive visits come from actual operating data.
What happens when the community outgrows the system?
The microgrid is modular by design: additional BESS containers and PV arrays connect to the same bus and AMS fleet view. Capacity can roughly double without replacing any original equipment.
How do funders verify the project is performing?
AMS logs uptime, energy delivered, solar share and diesel displaced per site — exportable reports give donors, IPPs and community trusts metered proof of operation for the life of the asset.
