The Problem We Solve

Why Tower Power Costs So Much

Off-grid towers run on diesel and hope — each failure mode below is a line item our reference sites no longer pay:

Fuel deliveries devour the OPEX budget.

Remote towers need fuel trucked or flown in at 2–4× pump price. Storage carries night and low-traffic loads so the genset runs only a few full-load hours per week.

Lead-acid banks die every 2–4 years.

Heat kills VRLA batteries long before their rated life. Liquid-cooled LFP delivers ≥ 8,000 cycles at high ambient temperature — battery swaps stop being a recurring site visit.

Noise complaints threaten urban sites.

Overnight gensets at rooftop and compound sites draw complaints and fines. Storage runs silent — reference installs in noise-sensitive Australian and Hong Kong locations replaced overnight gensets entirely.

Typhoons, heat and rain kill electronics.

Exposed sites face salt air, driving rain and 40°C+ heat. IP65-sealed, liquid-cooled cabinets are validated in wet Australian and frequent-typhoon Hong Kong conditions.

Nobody sees faults for weeks.

Towers are unmanned by design. AMS monitors every site 24/7 with >150 diagnosed fault items, alarming your NOC and our engineers before the site goes dark.

Grid extension takes years, if ever.

Rural coverage often means no grid at all. A PV + BESS + DG microgrid is the primary power plant — modular, so capacity grows with traffic and 5G loads.

Proven at Tower and Compound Sites

250 kW / 215 kWh, typhoon zone
Hong Kong · Telecom Compound

250 kW / 215 kWh, typhoon zone

Noise-sensitive, typhoon-prone site — the ESS replaced overnight gensets while surviving repeated severe-weather seasons.
250 kW / 215 kWh, noise sensitive
Australia · Remote Site

250 kW / 215 kWh, noise sensitive

Diesel + storage hybrid at a noise-restricted site — genset runtime confined to daylight refuelling windows, silent nights.
500 kW / 430 kWh, wet environment
Australia · Coastal Site

500 kW / 430 kWh, wet environment

High-humidity coastal installation — containerized ESS beside existing gensets, fuel runs cut to minimum maintenance hours.
Industry-wide telecom-power ROI pattern.

Reference-site patterns show diesel runtime at hybrid tower sites falling 60–80%, with site visits dropping from monthly fuel runs to quarterly maintenance — typically recovering the storage investment inside 2–4 years at remote fuel logistics prices. These are industry-wide patterns, not ALEO POWER guarantees — every quotation includes a sized ROI worksheet built from your load profile, fuel invoices and solar resource.

FAQ

Telecom Tower Power Questions

How much diesel does a hybrid tower site actually save?
The storage system carries night and low-traffic loads; the genset runs 2–4 full-load hours to recharge, then stops. Reference patterns show 60–80% fuel reduction depending on traffic profile and solar resource — and full-load hours instead of idling also extend engine life sharply.
How do batteries survive 40°C+ ambient in outdoor shelters?
Liquid cooling keeps the cells at their optimal temperature band regardless of ambient heat — the main reason LFP in liquid-cooled cabinets reaches ≥ 8,000 cycles where air-cooled VRLA banks fail in 2–4 years. The rated envelope covers –25 ~ +55 °C.
Can a rural site run fully off-grid without a genset?
With enough PV and storage, yes — many hub sites run genset-free for months. AMS dispatches PV first, storage second, and starts the genset only when both run dry; you size the autonomy window (days of no-sun backup) during the assessment.
How do we monitor hundreds of dispersed sites?
Every system reports to the AMS cloud platform: SOC, alarms, energy flows and >150 diagnosed fault items. Your NOC sees a fleet dashboard; our engineers get the same alarms and can resolve most faults remotely before the site degrades.
What about typhoon and storm seasons?
Reference installs operate in frequent-typhoon Hong Kong conditions. IP65 enclosures, secure container anchoring and remote pre-storm charging strategies (full SOC before landfall) are part of the standard deployment checklist.
